WARNING -- possible spoilers

Let's see......

daily lung (better to have permanent ones, I think), laud lying (politicians should like that), dual lying (politicians might like that better), align duly, gain dully (kinda blah). I can't imagine any of these bothering Linda.

I rather like a three word anagram: a dung lily -- flowers in a compost pile?

Hmmmmm...... <light bulb illuminates> now I get it.

But I thought hags were supposed to be ugly!  Demon
(Lest Linda cast some evil spell, I better follow that up with the comment that if the little picture of her is any indication, Linda is no hag.)  Kiss

Looks can be very deceptive, TRex!  A hag is as a hag does .... beware!!  Demon

If not ugly, than frightful? or unpleasant? Perhaps some of the former. Demon

The ideal hag is ugly, frightful and unpleasant ... especially around Halloween!  Demon

Ha, I found that!  police Bad Alan, why did you put such a possible anagram there?

And I didn't still find the right 9-letter word for that puzzle, giving up for now.
