I am off work today and checking out all things Parisian as me and hubby are paying a visit there in August!  Can't wait, although it will be a different kind of holiday from the one I last spent there ... hehehe!!  I was single then!!  We are staying in a hotel in Montmartre which is pretty close to the Moulin Rouge so will have to keep hubby in check!

Hiya, back, mate!

I'm trying hard to keep in tune with the haghood, yes. But just barely. Regardless, LL, I'm so jealous of your trip to gay Paree  --  I've just been dying to visit Europe again! Now, though, passports are so expensive, plus not just airfare but the extra airline fees and all the other hassles have made the thought so much more daunting. But not necessarily impossible.

I still have a brass hotel key to a room at Maxim's that I bought at an estate sale. It keeps the dream alive to look at it, that maybe I can go overseas again sometime before I'm too rickety.

Enjoy your day ... and yes, we always do have to keep a bit of a rein on the men, eh? Or, give them enough rope to hang themselves. LOL!

Meet you at Maxim's one day then!!  Much easier for us to visit Europe as it's only a short hop away but I do have a standing invitation to visit my ex brother in law in Phoenix if that's any handier for you?!!  Probably not, my geography is pretty poor at the best of times and just can't picture Arizona and Texas on a map ... hubby despairs of me!

Actually, Texas is on the way to Phoenix ... it shares the border with Mexico, just about 1,000 miles away, though. We used to drive from Las Vegas thru Phoenix to come this way -- it made for a VERY long drive, but a pretty short flight. That might actually be doable someday -- we could come see you in Arizona, or you could fly to San Antonio and we'd pick you up there.

Start packing, my dear hag!! Of course, AFTER your Parisian escapade.

PS -- you probably know this, but the temps in Phoenix are blazing in the summer -- even hotter than here, or Hades!!

See, my geography isn't that shoddy ... Phonenix just a tad closer than Paris then!!

Sounds a lovely idea, mate.  Will start saving the pennies!  My sister was in Phoenix during the summer months and couldn't bear the heat and she is a bit of a sun bunny!  I used to be but am more of a sitting under a shady tree with a long, cool drink bunny now!!  Don't like being too hot ... wear short sleeves all year round so would have to be practically naked in Phoenix!!  Not a pretty sight!
