Hi matie ... Happy New Year!!  I have just come back from a trip to Ambleside .... it was absoflaminglutely freezing!!  Looking for birthday present for son's girlfriend ... how inconsiderate to have a birthday so close to Christmas!!  Anyway, got her a posh Body Shop set of creams, body butter etc for half price!!  The shops are desperate to sell their goods at the moment!

Sorry to hear about your door falling off!  Cardboard is always an attractive look!

Off to make a coffee to help warm me up as it's too early to imbibe some alcohol!!  Not that I would anyway, natch!

I simply hate it when birthdays and holidays are bunched up together. People should take that all into consideration when they're born, for goodness sake!

Presactly!    I have my sister's 50th, my niece's 21st and my son's 18th plus two other birthdays all in the same week in March!  We were hoping to maybe take a trip to Amsterdam for our 20th wedding anniversary in May but will probably not have a bean left by then!!

Might be able to afford the toast but the butter and jam don't look too promising!!

For butter, you might pilfer some milk from a cow, and then start churning! The jam, though, might pose a greater challenge.
