I wonder how many of you have tried today's Cryptoquote on the East of the Web site? it was a tricky one -lots of two letter words but I eventually got there. Not so thick, after all!!!

1.53 is fantastic. : For me, it went pretty smoothly today once I got the repeating two-letter word that came after each comma in the questions, but that took a while. That clock sure seems to rush by faster than I realize. What I'm amazed at is how some players will be able to hit it within 30 seconds or less, esp. since I don't think you can solve it using the keyboard, like in Chi (or can you?). It's also interesting to see the same ones going back in 2 or 3 times to see if they can beat their own time. 3-B

I didn't do it in 1.53! - don't know where that fantastic time came from!!! Don't actually know how long it took me but it was way longer than that, unfortunately!!! I don't think you can use the keyboard, which is a pity, as it might help improve my time!
By the way, Alan, why do I have to re-enter my password each time I log in? I think it is the one I registered with and it is accepted when I type it in! Perhaps it's just me!

Linda, is it on the Chihuahua page where you have to enter your password every time, or when you come to the forum?
With the Cryptoquote, a lot of the very fastest times are obviously by people who do the same puzzle over and over, concentrating on their fast mouse-clicking skills.
Sometimes, when the week's author is someone whose works are pretty well-known, you can guess the quote just from its over-all shape. Like yesterday's with its repeated questions starting with the same two-letter word. Not that I did that until after going down numerous blind alleys, but a quicker-witted player could have seen it a lot faster!

Alan I have to type in my password just when I come to the Forum - I am permanently logged in to the games (of course!) It's no problem though! I have not tried the games yet and so am looking forward to seeing the new features you have installed - they look to be fantastic!

Linda - When you log in to the forum, you should select "Forever" or "Always stay logged in" (depending on which way you log in) and that should mean you never have to log in again.
Let us know if this solves your problem.

Alan All's well - I've tried logging in and out several times - if I log out I have to type in my password again as it is not remembered (should it be?) - don't ask me, I just teach I.T.!!! - the pretty stuff, not the techno stuff! :

Linda -
Your password should be remembered, if cookies are permitted by your browser settings. But you shouldn't log out - if you never log out, you should never need to log in again (providing you chose to log in "forever"). But if you log out before you leave the forum, you will have to log in again when you come back to it.
