For a few glorious, fleeting moments today I was actually in the lead on Chi. Be still, my beating heart ! Of course, the laws of nature intervened, and before I knew it I was overtaken by various high-fliers, including ( surprise, surprise) BBB and Alonzo Quixote. Which brings me to my question......who IS the mysterious Alonzo? I see his profile, but I note that he remains silent during forum discussions, unlike BBB who is a chatty, friendly and gregarious soul. Could it be that there is a high-profile celebrity behind his Chi persona? Is he perched high in his ivory tower looking down on us lesser mortals with a weary patronizing smile? Could he even be Alan in disguise?   Come out, come out, wherever you are  !

I've been wondering the same thing. He gets me sometimes, and he gets up to the top with a high percentage. I saw his profile, but he does seem a bit mysterious. It doesn't sound like an Alan "doppelganger", but who knows?

 Huh?
Curious, too,

Perhaps we should mount a campaign to out Alonzo......we could wheedle/tease/torture/exhort/squeeze/extrude/ information out of him Perhaps he's even a lexicographer by trade .He could be in Alan's secret employ......embedded there to make us all sweat blood and try harder.

The problem, is, though, that Alonzo may never read the posts. Perhaps, like Colhad suggested, we could have a little message board along with the game itself, where we could prompt replies from the silent ones who only  "hit and run."

I did click onto Alonzo's profile in the lineup window, and this is what we do know about him -- or at least, what he chose to reveal:

Alonzo Quixote

Real name: Alan

Location: Greenlawn, NY

Gender: Male

General notes: Technical Writer. Computer systems documentation specialist. Chiropractor.

Registered since: 16 Dec 2006

YOU SEE HIS REAL NAME!  Shocked
Very interesting. Could it be, as we say, a "co-inki-dink"?

 Huh?

Very interesting, Alan. Will need to chew on that for a while.

Oh - and yes, congrats on achieving the "lexicomane" level.  Cool

Thanks, 3-B. I think lexicomane is actually a real word - in French.

For those of you who want to know a bit more about your fellow players, I can reveal that my real name is Linda Evans - perhaps I should play under the pseudonym of Krystle (get it?)  Wink  I am obviously tall, blonde and absolutely gorgeous!!!  :Smiley

You know, Linda, that you used to be a big star on American Television? And yes, you are tall, blonde and absolutely gorgeous.  Grin I remember watching you on "Dynasty", a hugely popular show in the 1980s. Your character was called Crystal Carrington. How well you have held up!

Or, are you the OTHER Linda Evans, who also happens to be tall, blonde and absolutely gorgeous? Wink

Cheers,
