I thought perhaps with all the various topics we discuss, and side-trips we make in cyber-space to find stuff, this might be a good catch-all for websites that would be of general or specific interest. Whatcha think? Like this one I found called www.electricscotland.com -- everything Scottish! It was useful finding a family name on a story I'm doing and the town, its history, etc. There's a list of tartans, Celtic music, people ... could spend hours poking around.

For anyone unfamiliar with the traditional Ground Hog Day in the U.S., here's everything you might like to know: www.groundhog.org

Bill Murray was great! Had nothing to do with Punxatawney Phil, though.

This site isn't weird, wild or wonderful, but it's worth visiting, I think. Every time that you click, sponsors donate money for mammograms. It only applies to the USA, but I thought I'd help my American sisters! www.thebreastcancersite.com/clickToGive/home.faces?siteId=2

Perhaps I should have added "worthy" to the title of this thread, but I don't think you can change their name once they're begun.
Your suggestion shows what a caring person you are, Binks!

For that select crowd who loves organ music, but hasn't caught the show on NPR (classical music/news network for those who don't know), look up this one -- it's really awesome! http://pipedreams.publicradio.org/

I wandered around on the site a little. Those organs are gorgeous - lots of gold leaf.
I'm lucky that there is a really good organ in the church on my corner. The organist gives a free concert every week from 1:10 to about 1:50 - just enough time for office workers to get to hear a concert on their lunch hours. Contributions by concert-goers paid for repairs to the organ, and now that it's fixed, are going toward the church roof (like most city churches here, there isn't a large congregation, and repairs are very costly).

What a great idea -- sometimes a local Presbyterian church has performances like that, but not on such a regular basis. What's really nice is that the organist also talks about the music he performs.
They are truly a magnificent sight and sound! I used to go to St. Patrick's Cathedral in NYC and what a treat it was to hear the one in there -- the tones would penetrate your whole body and vibrate. Far better than any rock concert, I'd say!

Leave it to you, binks! As always. I've seen that one -- I think you posted it once before, long, long ago. It's a hoot!
